Many More Label-Me! Print-outs (for all ages)

*** GARGOYLEOSAURUS, WITH A DRAMATIC PHOTOGRAPH *** Gargoyleosaurus was a primitive, early ankylosaur found in what is now Wyoming. Don't miss the dramatic photograph of a Gargoyleosaurus fossil! Standing there, looking right at you, with one leg bent at the knee, it looks almost alive. (Thanks to Jim Puckett and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for the great photograph.)

*** MORE FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPHS: DIMETRODON, ERYOPS, AND COELOPHYSIS *** You'll love these fossil photographs of Dimetrodon and Eryops. It's easy to imagine Dimetrodon, with its unusual sail, standing in its natural habitat. In the Eryops photograph, you're near its head, looking right at its open jaws, which are lined with small sharp teeth. We also have a photo of two Coelophysis fossils next to each other, running together. (Photos courtesy Jim Puckett and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.)

*** NEW DINOSAUR FACT SHEETS *** We've added seven new dinosaur fact sheets. Baryonyx was found with a fossilized meal in its stomach -- fish and Iguanodon. Muttaburrasaurus had a strange bony bulge on its snout. Nothronychus was an unusual plant-eating theropod. Composgnathus was a chicken-sized dinosaur, weighing only 6 or 7 pounds. Titanosaurus and Cetiosaurus were huge sauropods, 50 feet long and weighing many tons. And Ricardoestesia we know only from its teeth!

Dinosaur Fact Sheets

The Dinosaur Fact Sheets are in addition to our extensive collection of Dinosaur Information Pages and our set of Dinosaur Print-outs.

*** A PENGUIN THAT MAKES A SOUND LIKE A DONKEY *** Which penguin makes a sound like a donkey? Come find out.

A Penguin that Sounds Like a Donkey

*** ISAAC NEWTON *** Sir Isaac Newton was one of the most important people in human history. The law of gravitation, the laws of motion, the calculus, the nature of light and color, the cause of the tides -- Newton's discoveries stand as the greatest body of work in scientific history.

Isaac Newton

*** WHO IS BURIED NEXT TO ISAAC NEWTON? *** It's the British scientist Lord Kelvin, who designed the Kelvin temperature scale, discovered the second law of thermodynamics, invented over 50 devices, and wrote hundreds of scientific papers.

Lord Kelvin and the Kelvin Temperature Scale

*** THE ACCIDENTAL INVENTION OF THE MICROWAVE OVEN *** Did you know that the microwave oven was invented accidentally, as a by-product of war research? Come read the whole story.

The Accidental Invention of the Microwave Oven

*** COLORS AS SYMBOLS IN FLAGS *** Red, yellow, green, blue, white, black -- what do the different colors in flags mean?

Colors as Symbols in Flags

*** FLAGS FEATURING THE UNION JACK *** Many flags of the world feature a small flag of the U.K. as one part of a bigger flag. Which is your favorite -- British Columbia, or Hawaii, or Montserrat, or Anguilla, or Tuvalu, or ...?

Flags Featuring the Union Jack

*** FLAGS OF THE WORLD: QUIZZES AND COLORING PRINT-OUTS *** We've added four new countries to our collection of world flags with quizzes and coloring print-outs. The new flags added to our collection are the flags of Austria, Belgium, Denmark, and Israel.
